Next to the day-to-day business the Engineering office Tschiersch took part in innovative projects during the last 15 years.
Research topic “Low fat cornmeal”
In 2000 we participated in working on a research topic of the Fachhochschule Anhalt-Köthen, Saxony-Anhalt, to develop a lab-suitable grinding procedure for the production of low-fat cornmeal.
Research project “Lupine”
Since 2005 we also worked on the Federal Ministry for Education and Research-supported research project “Lupine” of the growth core “Plants pro Food”, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Matthias Tschiersch is, in this connection, also founding and co-partner of Prolupin GmbH.
A company which produces, in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institut für Verfahrenstechnik und Verpackung IVV, Freising, high-quality lupin protein isolates to provide a vegetable and domestic alternative source of protein with a wide range of applicability. On Novembre, 19th 2014 Prolupin GmbH was awarded the 18th Deutsche Zukunftspreis by the federal president Mr. Joachim Gauck.
